Chromosphere: A Journey Through Light and Creativity

Athens Digital Arts Festival (ADAF), the distinguished and longstanding institution of digital arts in Greece renowned for its exceptional contributions to the fields of digital and multimedia art, is thrilled to be the lead partner of Chromosphere, an innovative EU cultural program designed to redefine the intersection of art, technology, and community.  Chromosphere has embarked on its journey across Europe, captivating audiences with its fusion of light, sound, and imagination. The first three stops on this mesmerizing tour—Krakow, Lyon, and Rome—have set a dazzling tone for what promises to be an unforgettable exploration of creativity and connection.

The journey began in Krakow and Patchlab Festival, a city steeped in history and culture. On 17 – 20 October 2024, Chromosphere found its home in the meadow in the Wesola district area, with a program, featuring an exciting lineup of art and educational projections, workshops tailored for kids and adults, and compelling performances. Renowned for its cultural heritage and dynamic arts scene, Krakow offered an inspiring backdrop for immersive experiences.

After an incredible start, the second stop of CHROMOSPHERE was landed in Vaulx-en-Velin, near Lyon, at AADN – Arts hybrides et cultures numériques! From 4 to 8 of December 2024, the audience dived into a visionary showcase of full dome projections, digital art, and immersive experiences at the iconic Planetarium of Vaulx-en-Velin.

The third stop of Chromosphere Fotonica Festival in the Eternal City of Rome! Locals and visitors immersed themselves in a breathtaking fusion of light, sound, and immersive art inside our iconic dome., and witnessed how boundaries dissolve, and creativity lights up the cosmos!

Looking Ahead

As Chromosphere continues its journey, each stop adds a unique chapter to its story. The next destination is Athens, Greece , and Athens Digital Arts Festival (ADAF). This April, ADAF will bring the magical experience of Chromosphere in Technopolis City of Athens, for an ambitious exploration of how light and creativity can transcend borders and time.
