This year, ADAF Kids enters the magical world of FULLDOME, featuring immersive screenings and workshops under the dome. Inspired by the festival’s theme, Simulacra, the entire experience is a journey through simulation at the intersection of art and technology in the age of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and digital worlds.
The specially curated kids’ program focuses on environmental awareness, featuring the documentary Earth’s Climate alongside a series of hands-on workshops that encourage experimentation with technology and new forms of artistic expression.

What’s in the program?
🔹 Experience the CHROMOSPHERE fulldome: For the first time, young visitors will enjoy a unique, immersive viewing experience inside the fulldome! This spectacular space will showcase pioneering digital art projects, specially designed for omnidirectional viewing. Children will feel as if they are traveling inside the images, experiencing art and storytelling in an entirely new way.
🔹 Digital Art & Technology Workshops: Creative workshops that encourage experimental learning through play.
🔹 Virtual Reality (VR) Adventures: Captivating VR experiences that transport children to imaginary worlds.
🔹 Interactive Installations: Original artworks activated by movement and interaction.

SATURDAY, APRIL 5, 2025
ADAF Kids Installations (All-day)
Interactive art installations combining music, technology, and science, inviting children to explore a world of sound, light, and natural phenomena. Through play and interaction, young explorers develop their imagination and learn about science and art in a hands-on way.
ADAF Kids VR (All-day)
An interactive VR journey through the Amazon, where myth and reality intertwine. Guided by a mythological boa, participants explore memories, teachings, and stories of the Shipibo people, discovering the deep connection between humans and nature. As the journey unfolds, it reveals environmental changes and their consequences. A poetic and immersive VR experience, inspired by the thoughts of Mokán Rono, that invites audiences to rethink their relationship with Earth. (12+)
ADAF Kids Animation (All-day)
Are you ready for moments full of fun, magic, and emotion? Come and meet brave Liten, Raymond the hungry explorer searching for the perfect bread, Kase and Jule, and the dog with big dreams. Pack your bags, put on your explorer shoes, and let’s discover a world where adventure is just outside, waiting for us! (4-8 years old)

A blend of imagination and environmental awareness, this special children’s program presents a unique selection of fulldome videos that spark curiosity and inspire love for our planet. (6+)
11:45 – 12:10 | Documentary Screening: Earth’s Climate by Theofanis Matsopoulos at the CHROMOSPHERE dome
Earth’s position in the Solar System provides ideal conditions for life to develop and evolve. However, these conditions are not permanent and have changed throughout our planet’s history. This documentary explores the factors shaping Earth’s ever-changing climate and weather patterns.
12:00 – 12:45 | KIKO Workshop
🟠 Georgia Theofanous, Vivi Markatou | 45 min
A creative, interactive educational program that helps children build self-confidence and self-esteem. Through digital tools, children help Kiko the squirrel navigate the forest and reach the stars, engaging in a journey of observation, discovery, and personal growth. 13:00 – 14:00 | Video-art Game Workshop
🟠 Nassios | 30 min
A hands-on experimental workshop dedicated to the camera, the essential tool for capturing images. In a fast-paced group game, children record, capture moments, and create video clips. 13:00 – 13:30 | Fulldome for Kids Workshop
An enchanting experience inside the dome! After watching special 360-degree animations, children will have the chance to draw sketches (A4) that will come to life inside the giant dome. (4-8 years old) BOOK YOUR SPOT HERE
17:00 – 17:45 & 18:00 – 18:45 | Echoes of Sound Workshop
Using Artificial Intelligence and interactive technologies, Echoes of Sound creates immersive learning environments offering fun and personalized education. This program introduces children to AI and immersive technologies while fostering musical awareness. 13:30 – 15:30 | Recycled Paper Spheres Workshop
Cristina Cantemir | Art Mirror Romania
In this workshop, participants will decorate handmade paper spheres crafted from recycled paper. The drying process takes 4-5 days, so pre-dried spheres will be provided. Children will decorate their spheres with gold leaf, copper, or other materials, using their imagination and creativity. At the end of the workshop, each participant takes home their own decorated recycled paper sphere. (6-12 years old) BOOK YOUR SPOT HERE
