As a well-established festival with a longstanding presence in the digital arts scene, the primary objective of the Athens Digital Arts Festival (ADAF) is to support and promote artists. At the heart of every initiative undertaken by ADAF is our commitment to highlighting the significance of artistic creation.
As a platform committed to showcasing the diverse and innovative talents within the digital arts community, we understand the importance of accurately representing each artist and the respect their names and work deserve.
With this press release, we wish to address certain errors that have come to our attention regarding the accurate promotion of artists’ names during the 8DAY – Exit CODE – 8 Mediations Biennale Polska, a valued partner of ADAF that helps us promote our artists in an international audience. This collaboration, which we greatly value, enables ADAF to introduce our artists to an international audience. This partnership is part of ADAF’s international collaborations and is conducted on a non-profit basis, aiming to promote works that have already been accepted and showcased by the festival. Specifically, we refer to the exhibition organized within the framework of the 19th Athens Digital Arts Festival titled “The 8th Day – Exit Code: the seventh day he rested from all his work,” which was open to the public free of charge. In this context, through this press release, we wish to officially acknowledge and rectify three clerical errors, which have already been corrected in the online materials and on the website of 8DAY – Exit CODE – 8 Mediations Biennale Polska. A corresponding press release has also been issued in the Polish media to publicly amend these inaccuracies.
Specifically, there was a misspelling in the name of Alex Karantanas (it was written Alex Karadanas), artist of Singularity and current curator of ADAF, there was also a misspelling in the name of Wes Viz (it was written Wes Vis), artist of ANTICOMMUNION, and, finally, there was a misspelling in the name of Super Gonorrhea (it was written Super Gonorrheia), artist of Listen to Batteries,
